Cataract Operation – Skip The Queue

If you are on a waiting list for a cataract operation, why wait.

Trasna is a new Irish healthcare service helping use your entitlement to access quality eye clinics in Northern Ireland.

How much will it cost?

The price of a cataract treatment in Northern Ireland is £1,900 which is less than the reimbursement rate so patients will have their medical costs fully reimbursed. They do not reimburse travel and any other type of costs.

There is no costs to patients for using Trasna’s service.

How does it work?

All patients need is a referral letter from their GP and they can arrange a consultation. The treatment is typically done within two weeks of that consultation.

The Consultation is £120 which is also reimbursed by the HSE.
